In any industry, good training will make a significant contribution to the achievement of performance standards and cost-effectiveness; in the health and caring business it is crucial. We ask our people, who are often on the lower pay grades, to carry out work that is difficult, often unpleasant and, sometimes, dangerous. Effective and relevant training really makes the difference.
In
conjunction with the Strategic Health Authority and the University of Brighton, we have carried out extensive research into the extensive challenges that the health and caring sectors face in building a well-motivated and effective workforce. We are now authorised to offer training programmes built on this work.
All of these programmes are centred upon preparing workers for the situations they will meet in their day to day work experience and, where appropriate, can include working directly with clients. Participants will be taught, by example, how to face even the most challenging situations. There is a specific emphasis on team building and leadership at every level. For professional staff, these programmes qualify for Continuing Professional Devcelopment Accreditation.
