We are the leading and most experienced supplier of work-based learning training in the UK.
Work-based learning, also known as problem based learning (PBL) is the process whereby participants are taught to develop problem solving skills and, from this, learn how to interact for success in the work-place.
We have included here a presentation that we show to new clients when we are explaining work-based learning. You may find it of interest. To view it click on the link and then click on "Slide Show" in the bottom right hand corner. Depending upon your computer security settings, you may need to allow active scripts to work or allow blocked content by clicking the message at the top of the page. When you have finished with the presentation, click on your browsers "Back" button to come back here.
Work-based learning has the following objectives:
- to identify learning needs relative to the actual working environment of participants
- to increase knowledge and understanding of problems and challenges arising in the workplace
- to promote teamwork and inter-personal skills
- to identify weaknesses and barriers to success
- to promote critical reasoning powers
- -to create every workplace as a learning community
After completing our work-based learning courses
participants will be able to make a fuller and more informed contribution to the development and success of the organisation that they work for.
For new employees, particularly those entering the working world for the first time we offer our building blocks course. This is more fully described in the following presentation.
